One Hundredth Annual Meeting of the

This year’s meeting will offer an exciting program with three workshops, four symposia, two plenary sessions, in addition to the diversity of high-quality contributed papers and posters. Workshops will provide training in acoustic monitoring, undergraduate education, and camera trap data analysis. Symposia will include current topics in mammalian evolution, human dimensions, diversity in dynamic landscapes, and life history datasets. The two plenary sessions will feature student Honoraria and Fellowship recipients and the 2019 recipients of the ASM Grinnell, Leopold, and Merriam Awards—Drs. Donald Kaufman, Bernal Rodriguez-Herrera, and Hopi Hoekstra. And this year’s capstone speaker is Rodolfo Dirzo. In addition, the program will include contributions from the Society for the Study of Mammalian Evolution and the North American Pika Consortium.

A full social agenda also is planned including fieldtrips to local attractions (please check the meeting website for more information), the opening social at the CU-Boulder campus, the annual Run-for-Research, the picnic on the Norlin Quad Lawn, and closing social and awards ceremony at Folsom Field. REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE

Online registration is now open for ASM 2020!!! Do not forget to signup for meeting socials, workshops, fieldtrips, and other a la carte items. Additional field trips are being planned, so please check back to take advantage of these opportunities. Contact Christy Classi in the ASM Business Office for assistance with the registration process or to make updates to a completed registration. Regular registration ends March 15th!!!

RESERVE YOUR ROOM AND MAKE TRAVEL PLANS FOR ASM 2020

Travel: The Boulder area is serviced by Denver International Airport (DIA). DIA hosts most major airline carriers, including non-stop flights between Denver and London, and Denver and Frankfurt. Travel time from DIA to Boulder is approximately 45 minutes. Before you depart, make sure you are prepared for the REAL ID Act. From DIA, there are a number of private and public tranpsortation options to Boulder. Please visit the Boulder Convention and Visitor's Bureau for more information.

Lodging: For ASM 2020, there are several hotel room blocks available. They include The Millennium Harvest Hotel Boulder and the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn. The Millennium Harvest will be our main conference hotel, but both hotels are located within a short walk to the University Memorial Center, which holds most of the meeting spaces.
Dormitory room blocks also will be available at the University of Colorado. Baker Hall has been selected for ASM 2020. Baker Hall is within a 5 min walk to the University Memorial Center, and includes free WIFI, small refrigerators, and elevated beds (can be lowered upon request). Meal plans (breakfast and lunch) will be included for those using this option.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION OPENS FEBRUARY 1ST!!!

Share your research with hundreds of mammalogists from around the world. Submit your abstract for an oral or poster presentation for ASM 2020! Abstract submissions will open 1 February 2020 and will close 15 March 2020 at 11:59 pm (Central Daylight Time). Presenters interested in ASM Honoraria and Travel Awards should visit the ASM website for more information. All symposia speakers are required to submit an abstract by the posted deadlines.

All presenters must register and submit full payment for the conference prior to submitting their abstract. The registration payment confirmation email will include the abstract submission link. An abstract will not be accepted for the program until the presenting author has registered and paid in full. It is recommended that registration and payment be completed in advance of the abstract submission deadline. Because of space limitations in the program, ASM will not accept more than one abstract per presenting author.

ASM CODE OF CONDUCT

Professional conduct is expected of all participants in ASM sponsored activities, including the annual meetings, and of any individual representing the ASM. ASM is dedicated to ensuring the opportunity for active, equal participation in all ASM functions by all members, regardless of gender, race, national origin, ethnicity, age, physical appearance, disability, or sexual orientation. Discrimination and harassment are prohibited by the ASM; no individual should feel harassed, threatened, or unsafe at any ASM sponsored activity. Concerns or allegations of misconduct or harassment should be directed the Office of the Ombudsperson or reported online here. Course of action for alleged misconduct may be found here. We note that ASM policies for professional conduct will evolve over time. The most recent version of these policies will be posted on the ASM Ombudspersons webpage and notifications of updates to the policy will be emailed to all ASM members. All ASM members and participants in ASM sponsored activities are expected to follow the most recent version of ASM Professional Conduct policies.
